Scarlett Cole:

This is our main character. The audience will view this character, first of all, when she is 16 and pregnant. She will be the mother of Raymond, the child who will haunt her in her dreams, and who she will see in the orphanage, without knowing it. The audience will also see her after she has given birth. Playing this character will be Comfort Gathoni. 

The main reason why we selected Comfort Gathoni is because she’s a drama student. She will be able to do this role because she has done roles like this in drama productions. She is very good at what she does and she will be able to get the characterisation of the character, Scarlett.

Florence cole:

This is another main character in this film. This is Scarlett Cole’s mother. If Scarlett Cole was the protagonist, Florence Cole would be the antagonist. She did not approve of Scarlett’s decision to keep her baby when she found out she was pregnant and she is the one who mysteriously tells her daughter that her baby is dead. Jessica Ansah will be playing the role of Florence Cole.

The reason why we have selected Jessica Ansah is because she is also a drama student and is capable of doing the role of an old woman, as she has had the potential to do any of these roles in the past.
